Attached is the sunset fly, a pattern we use to search the shore of Great Lake, in shallow rough water.
 It will usually represent forage fish.
 Cast out and drawn back 8" to 12" at a time
 with a short pause will nearly always catch a fish.

 Hook:           Streamer hook 2X long, size 8 or 10

Thread:        Black 6/0

Tail:              Black fine hair, mink or squirrel.

Body:            Yellow dyed cock hackle, then orange dyed cock
.(use cock hackles because they¡¯re       longer and easier
 to match to the length of the hook)
 
Collar:           Black cock, webby hackle

Head:           A section of black hackle separated by bands
 of yellow thread, 2-3 hook eyes long.
